He’s not cheating you. The posted price is exclusive of taxes which can range from 8-12%.

The total price of the Ipad 2 is $499 WITHOUT taxes. With taxes, the total price would be around 540 dollars.

They always add taxes to everything. So if they show you a price and it doesn’t say it has tax then when you want to buy it, they price will go up depending
On where you live. Each state has it’s own amount of tax for nj it is 7%

Nope hes right,my ipod 4G was 329 i belive. Total cost came to nearly $400. Tax is everywhere and its a silent wallet killer >:[

Yes there will be sales tax is some states. Each US state has a different sales tax rate. For a list of all the state sales take check out this Wikipedia article.

Also why not try doing the math yourself. for instance for the total to be $546 the tax rate must be roughly 9.5%
$499 + 9.5% = $546.41

1 – Tap on the little Book icon on the top-left of the screen.

2 – Leave your History by ctapping on ‘Bookmarks’.

3 – Tap on ‘Bookmarks Bar’.

4 – Tap on ‘Edit’ on the right-hand side of the Screen and then ‘New Folder’ on the left.

iPad books have protection on them and they are in ePub format. Kindle uses the Mobi format. So you would have to find a decrypter and a converter.

Do you have the Kindle app for the Ipad? If so, when you purchase the Kindle and register it, the books will automatically transfer. If you are trying to transfer books from another app such as Ibooks then I’m not sure.
