I own the latest MacPro and I own an iPad. The laptop is more versatile and will accept dvds, the iPad won't. I love both machines and the iPad is great for taking on the rsoad. The iPad still needs to be backed up and synched to get the full benefits of the device. The Aluminum portable is a great choice over any other out there, especially on resale value. If you have a PC or a Mac and was thinking of upgrading, the iPad is not a fully functioning computer. Yes you can get on the internet, listen to music and videos, play games etc, it even has a program that works like Office. It does all that a lot faster than a computer of comparable size. Put it like this, if you want to get an upgrade to your computer without buying a new one and you just need to browse the web, play a few games, keep contacts, read email look at videos and music and have something ultra portable..iPad.
